Brian Thompson Trending on X 12/4/2024
Brian Thompson, CEO of UnitedHealthcare, was fatally shot outside the New York Hilton Midtown hotel on December 4, 2024. The incident occurred around 6:45 a.m. as Thompson arrived for an investor conference. A masked assailant, described as a white male in a cream-colored jacket and black face mask, approached Thompson and fired multiple shots before fleeing the scene on a bicycle. Thompson, 50, was transported to Mount Sinai West Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Authorities believe the attack was targeted and are offering a $10,000 reward for information leading to the suspect’s arrest. Thompson had been with UnitedHealth Group since 2004 and became CEO of UnitedHealthcare in April 2021.
